About the RTA
The Rowayton Tennis Association (RTA) started in the early1950's when a few hardy residents got together to build our first tennis courts at Bayley Beach. The RTA is a local community organization whose members* pay for, manage, maintain and lease the 5 tennis courts (4 Har-Tru and 1 hard court) at Bayley Beach from the Sixth Taxing District of Norwalk. Our Board of Directors volunteer their time to make this organization work on behalf of its members and oversee our many events.
The Rowayton Tennis Association offers lessons, leagues, tournaments, cardio tennis and family activities to residents of Rowayton, Connecticut (Sixth Taxing District). Joining the RTA is a great way to enjoy Rowayton, become part of the community and get to know your fellow tennis enthusiasts. We're open to all sorts of ideas. If you'd like to be involved or volunteer for an event, please contact us at email@example.com.
Bayley Beach, part of Neville Bayley Park, is owned and maintained by the 6th Taxing District of Norwalk (Rowayton) for the use of its residents and their guests. In addition to the tennis courts, Bayley Beach offers a children’s playground, a basketball court, a volleyball area, a snack bar, restrooms and picnic tables.
*RTA membership is open to current property owners and residents of the Sixth Taxing District, Rowayton, CT 06853.
Meet the Pro
Paul McNulty is a life-long Fairfield County resident, having grown up in New Canaan, and lived for many years in Rowayton and now East Norwalk. Paul developed a love for tennis at an early age, playing at area clubs. Many Rowayton residents may remember Paul as a long-time member of the Rowayton Men’s Tennis and Paddle Tennis teams where he was a participant in several league-dominating seasons.
Paul is a USPTA certified instructor with vast experience. For the past 16 years Paul has been the Director of Racquet Sports at the Larchmont Yacht Club where he managed every aspect of a vibrant tennis and paddle tennis program. Having stepped down from the Larchmont position to be closer to home and family, Paul is excited to bring his experience and love of the game to the RTA. Working closely with the RTA Board, it is Paul’s aim to reinvigorate the program through new instructional and social programs, as well as improved court maintenance and communications.
Paul looks forward to seeing everyone on the courts during the upcoming season. If you have any ideas or suggestions, Paul may be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
